Occupy Lincoln will be starting a community garden in Neighbor’s Park in the spring of 2013. This community garden will be the first community garden in a Lincoln Public Park. The garden will be free for participants and a percentage of the produce will go to the needy.

We have entered a contest and need votes and viral. The grand prize will be $5000 for equipment from a home improvement store. This would help us buy much needed equipment like a shed and fencing amongst other things. All entries that make it to the top 10 will receive a package of equipment; some we can use, others we can sell to add to the garden account. 

We need votes and we need viral. Please go to the below site and vote for our project. You don’t have to enter your information or sign up to the site. You can vote once or twice a day on any device with connectivity to the internet. However, voting is only a portion of how they determine the winner. How much the project gets listed on other media also adds to the score. If you can forward the link to your friends, add it to Facebook or any other site with which you are comfortable, that would be helpful too.
