    Yes, I would like to be on the mailing list. I would prefer to be contacted by email. My son is Alexander Stamm and he is also becoming involved in this movement. I am practically house bound due to my heart problems. Cold weather makes it even worse. So email is the best way for me to be involved. Thanks for all you do!

  2. Audrey Greve says:

    You’re all wonderful in your fidelity to the movement. If there’s an otherwise-unscheduled event, please let me know by email. Thanks.

    I visited your encampment last Sat. in conjunction with a trip to Lincoln to attend a Ne, for Peace Bd. mtg. I was very much impressed!
    I am interested in doing some promotional programming through our local UU church.
    I came away with the issues #4 & 5 of your “# Occupy Lincoln” news letter and am interested other issues as available.
    I am keen on doing a local church service followed by a community mtg. on the issues plus doing some petitioning in the community at large.

    I just sent a message to the mayor.
    =====================================

    Mayor Beutler,

    I am proud of our city government’s considered response to the ongoing Occupy Lincoln protest on Centennial Mall.

    My initial response to the national protests was simply happiness that so many citizens have turned off their televisions and gone to the public square to start a conversation. After years of apparent apathy, ordinary Americans in significant numbers are becoming politically active. I am glad that Nebraskans have joined this conversation about economic justice. What a breath of fresh air!

    Speaking of breezes: the tipi on the mall has stood solidly for five days and weathered high winds on Saturday. The structural design was field tested by generations of nomads in Nebraska’s climate. If you have concerns about its stability, investigate it, but I will be surprised if it is found to be unsound.

    Please keep working with the Occupiers. They are acting within the law. It makes our city look good.

    Thank you for your time and consideration.
